Epithalon (Epitalon, AEDG) is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) developed in research as a synthetic analogue of epithalamin, a polypeptide complex isolated from the pineal gland. Preclinical studies have investigated its effects on telomerase activity and circadian gene expression.

Research interest in Epithalon has focused on:

  • Telomerase activity in human somatic cell culture
  • Telomere length measurements in chromosomal stability studies
  • Pineal melatonin circadian rhythm research
  • Senescence biomarker analysis in fibroblast cultures

Supplied as lyophilised powder. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water for research use. Each batch independently verified for purity.

Research Handling Note
For best results, allow both the lyophilised peptide and your chosen solvent to reach ambient laboratory temperature before reconstitution. Introduce solvent slowly against the vial wall and allow the cake to dissolve without agitation to maintain structural integrity. Store reconstituted material per the specifications above. Open the reconstitution calculator → Bacteriostatic water and reconstitution consumables are supplied separately.
